I purchase a pair of the Shift shoes and really like them! For about 1/2 a day they were a little uncomfortable and stiff, but then they broke in extremely quickly and are very comfortable now. They have enough cushion on the bottom so that when I step on a rock on the asphalt I don't bruise my heel (like my sparco driving shoes) but still have enough sensitivity to give me fantastic pedal feel and feedback. The tread pattern on the bottom feeds my nerdy side, and are very grippy as well (the being said, if it were very icy or slushy out, I would wear my winter boots instead). The toe box reminds me of older new balance running shoes, the perforations are functional and perform well at keeping my feet from being a swampy bog. My feet aren't wide, so they for right on there. I wear a 9.5 in most shoe brands and while they're not necessarily too big I may be able to get into a 9 just fine!
